PHOTO DISPLAY
With regard to the photo project as proposed at the previous meeting, it was agreed to combine this with a Cheese and Wine evening in the New Year. Those photos available in digital format could be presented with a commentary provided we could borrow a suitable projector. We would try to organise one. Other photos could be mounted as a static display. We currently have offers of pictures of Lourdes, the Holy Land, Cyprus, Singapore, St. Peter’s (Rome), Seville and Sicily.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012
I would like to take this opportunity at the beginning of this New Year to wish you and your families “a very Happy New Year!” As we enter this New Year which, according to forecasts, may be another difficult year financially bringing anxiety and stress, you will be very much in my prayers. I pray that the Lord will shower you with many joys and blessings this year; that you will have good health and good fortune; that your love for your loved ones will deepen, that those in need will find you to be a true friend, that all will live in peace with you and that you will feel content in yourself. As we begin 2012 in St Edward’s I pray that it will be a year of grace and blessing on the whole parish. May the love and care we show for one another be an example and witness of our Christian belief and discipleship to the people in Aylestone. May God inspire and bless us in all we undertake this year and bring it to its completion in his way and his time.
